MENS MINISTRY- a vibrant branch of the Covenant Men International (CMI) exists in the church. CMI is a rallying point for all men in New Covenant Church . The focal point of its operation is to empower men to find a model in our LORD JESUS CHRIST and fulfil what GOD has called them to be.
Like the men, the Covenant Women (CW) is a rallying point for women to fellowship and develop their GOD given talents and skills. Every member of CW is assured of Christian support and beneficial interaction. Every woman is encouraged to join.
The Youth Church was inaugurated as an offshoot of the popular Sunday School. At a point the number of youths in the church was sufficient for them to have designated leaders and to worship together. Among other objectives, the Youth Church raises support for the young men and women to meet the challenges in school or place of work.
They are empowered to view life in a proper perspective and without reservation to uphold the tenets of Christianity as a way of life. The church has raised the profile of activities to meet the challenges and diverse temptations that the youths face everyday. There are positive results and great potentials amongst them as leaders of tomorrow.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH – a foundation class for ages 2 – 12, to learn basic Bible principles and establish Christian values. The classes are co-ordinated by teachers on a rota basis. The department has witnessed growth and positive changes in the children, some of them are now serving in one department or the other, while some have testimonies of good report among their peers.
With the grace of God to plant a number of churches, NCC Woolwich has a team of mission minded Christians known as GIDEON ARMY. The team supports the mission activities financially and volunteer when required to go to the ‘FIELD’. The group do organise mission awareness programmes and its membership is not restricted to the local branch.
THE WORSHIP TEAM – comprises of young and old, men and women, who are gifted and called to minister in songs. Over the years, the team has witnessed tremendous changes in ministry, outlook and presentation. Since the branch hosts the DOMINION HOUR (a monthly; first Friday gathering of brethren from NCC branches in South East London) the team forms a larger number of the combined or mass choir. The team is yet growing and has a potential to take gospel songs to the land and make men to worship God.
THE DRAMA TEAM - The team is a marvel. With only one or two members who are formally trained in drama, others have blended and they have given themselves to the ministry of the word through drama. New members are always welcome and soonest they will be out on stage at halls, theatres and possibly on electronic media ‘to act the truth’ and bless men.
The Hospitality Team is a group of women (almost faceless) who runs the church kitchen from their purse. They provide snacks and drinks for the children as well as adults every Sunday. They have generously presented hampers and gifts to guest preachers’ and often help members during special celebrations.
THE CLEANING TEAM - sometimes unseen but their work speaks for them. Some members have given themselves to the job for years. The responsibility to clean the premises is enormous, unattractive but commendable. More hands will be appreciated always.
The Ushering Team comprises of dedicated men and women, young and old who bear the responsibility of providing warm welcome, comfort and orderly service. They are positive in their approach and convinced that ‘first impression lasts longer’. More than the traits of customer services, they are trained to discern, observe and elicit spiritual help to anyone in the congregation. The leadership of the team is willing to welcome new members as long as the rules are kept.
